UNITED WAY FAST FACTS:

  • United Way will help 31,418 local people through grants alone.
  • Great Falls College has been a partner in United Way community impact initiatives including Graduate to Elevate (formerly Graduation Matters) and Prosperity Matters because that work impacts GFC-MSU students, staff and the entire community.
  • Great Falls College employees volunteer with United Way deciding which nonprofits to award grants to, collecting school supplies for local kids and serving on the United Way board of directors.

Check out these fun otter-inspired events at Great Falls College- MSU:

Oct. 2: Bake Sale - Cash only bake sale in the GFC cafeteria from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Oct. 7-11: Otter Races - Gather your team of 8 and compete against other teams to see who can win the race and raise the most donations! The winners get lunch for 8!

Oct. 9: Bingo - [in-person & online] Stop by the Office of Student Engagement in A120 to purchase bingo cards. $2/card or 10 for $15. Email joshua.archey@gfcmsu.edu for electronic bingo cards. 

Oct. 14-Oct. 18: Otter Romping! - It's back and better than ever! Mischievous otters are on the loose TP-ing offices on campus. Donate to our campaign to have someone TP’d. Keep an eye out for details!

Oct. 21-31: Campus Coin Collection - Bring in your loose change! Collection sites are in the Library, Admin Suite, Student Central, and the Office of Student Engagement!

Oct. 21 : Teriyaki Madness Fundraiser - from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. show the flyer (print/digital) and 20% of your order will be donated to the United Way campaign.

Oct. 21-25: Color Analysis with Kathy - Ever wondered what colors look best on you? For a $20 donation, schedule a color analysis and find out! email katherine.meier@gfcmsu.edu for an appointment.

Oct. 31: Prize drawing for those enrolled in automatic payroll contributions.

EVERYONE who signs up for automatic payroll contributions as part of the United Way fundraising campaign will be entered to win gift certificates that will be drawn on Oct. 31.

$5/paycheck gives a child a safe place to go after school and extra homework help.

$10/paycheck delivers daily dinners and a well-being check to seven seniors for a year.

$20/paycheck teaches a teen how to be a good parent and provides childcare for a year while they finish school.

$10/paycheck gives a battered woman a safe place to stay and the counseling she needs to help leave her abuser.

$20/paycheck gives a family affordable rental housing 

 

$1/paycheck gives a family healthy food to eat for one year
