We work with community partners to help hardworking families make ends meet and create a more sustainable future for themselves and their loved ones.

The current priorities are:

United Way partners with schools, colleges, businesses, and workforce organizations to host in September the annual Worlds of Work, giving students from more than 20 schools hands-on career experiences. Every Great Falls Public Schools eighth-grader and sophomore, along with hundreds of other students, explore careers by operating equipment, performing medical simulations, and writing code. The event also helps local businesses connect with future employees and continues with industry-led panels to address workforce needs.

Each year, we work with Great Falls Public Schools and local financial institutions to provide a hands-on budgeting experience to 600 high school students at Reality Fairs. More than 80 volunteers coached students through three months of budgeting, exposing them to costs of living and available resources..

United Way of Cascade County improves housing and home ownership by:

  • Providing grants to provide families money to cover first and last month's rent to get into low-income housing. Learn more.

  • Helping seniors stay in their homes through a new Habitat for Humanity program. Learn more.
